Cupcakes

I really do Love cupcakes!

I have been experimenting with batter mixes and icing recipes but still have not found the perfect one. (suggestions welcome) I have found that I hate icing made with unsalted butter - no idea why, everyone else seems to love the stuff.

I went a bit mad making a polka dot loving friends birthday present!

A handmade card, cake box and handmade spotty tag, and of course spotty icing and cupcake cases. Some edible red glitter to finish!
I used a pen lid originally to cut out tiny circles of icing for the polka dots - I have found that white choc chips are a whole lot easier and a lot less time consuming!

The apple/pomeagranate holder

This was Ashley's birthday present, I got the pattern from Mollies Makes  - it started out as an apple holder but just kept getting bigger - after a frantic search in the local fruit and veg shop for a giant apple I had to settle for the lovely pomegranate pictured. Ashley wasn't as impressed with this unique hand-made gift as hoped, she liked the Sushi much better.

Sushi

I made this for my friend Ashley's birthday a few weeks ago, it was loads easier than expected although very messy.

Ashley is a vagan so most of the sushi is just veg, rice and nori although i did make a few with those imitation crab sticks - seemed to go down very well....
And for dessert.....Frushi!

I made the sushi rice with coconut milk - YUM!

The first post on Bob

Well here it is, the first ever post on Bob.
Don't get too excited as this is all new to me. A warning - I possibly have the worst spelling in the world - I feel if I let you know in advance your expectations will not be too high!
